“I have trouble concentrating and remembering things. I am tired from doing nothing. I can’t sleep, eat or easily do things as simple as getting out of bed or brushing my teeth or taking a bath.” Maxwell shaking his head in despair, paused and then, “There’s this constant feeling of…” he sought for the appropriate word, “…emptiness.”
I have been trying to potty train this boy since he was 1 year old. He is very bright and I knew he could do it but simply refused as he is stubborn like everybody else in the family.
We tried once around 2 years and 8 months (?) It was going great but then he started witholding his stools so I stopped and went back to diapers full time.
It took him a few months and much bribing but his stools went back to normal.
At this point I decided to wait for the good weather to try again (oh well in NY you could wait forever, lol, nice weather leaves as fast as it arrives).
We started again last week.
We removed the diaper. He had already a hang of it so I didn’t really have to remind him much.
8 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you[a] free from the law of sin and death.3 For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh,[b] God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering.[c]And so he condemned sin in the flesh,4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
5 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.8 Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.
9 You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.10 But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life[d] because of righteousness.11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of[e] his Spirit who lives in you.
12 Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it.13 For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.
14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.[f] And by him we cry, “Abba,[g] Father.”16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
Thou, whose almighty word chaos and darkness heard, and took their flight; hear us, we humbly pray, and, where the Gospel day sheds not its glorious ray, let there be light!
Thou who didst come to bring on thy redeeming wing healing and sight, heal to the sick in mind, sight to the in-ly blind, now to all humankind, let there be light!
Spirit of truth and love, life-giving holy Dove, speed forth thy flight! Move on the waters’ face bearing the gifts of grace, and, in earth’s darkest place, let there be light!
Holy and blessèd Three, glorious Trinity, Wisdom, Love, Might; boundless as ocean’s tide, rolling in fullest pride, through the world far and wide, let there be light!

When we walk with the Lord we draw closer to the Lord with all our heart. He becomes our focus. Our hearts longs for Him. Our heart seeks His presence. Our desire to have fellowship with Christ and be like Him will grow while our worldly desires will decrease.
11. Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
I’ll walk with God From this day on His helping hand I’ll lean upon This is my prayer my humble plea May the Lord be ever with me
There is no death though eyes grow dim There is no fear when I’m near to him I’ll lean on him forever And he’ll forsake me never
He will not fail me as long as my faith is strong What ever road I may walk alone
I’ll walk with God I’ll take his hand I’ll talk with God he’ll understand I’ll pray to him Each day to him
And he’ll hear the words that I say His hand will guide my throne and rod And I’ll never walk alone While I walk with God.
It’s Friday! So glad you are here today and I enjoy all your comments. I can’t agree with this quote more. For me true beauty is on the inside. There are plenty of attractive people who are very ugly on the inside. I was more concerned about my looks when I was younger, I wasn’t […]
Psalm 61 1 Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. 2 From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. 3 For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe. 4 I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.[b] 5 For you, God, have heard my vows; you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name. 6 Increase the days of the king’s life, his years for many generations. 7 May he be enthroned in God’s presence forever; appoint your love and faithfulness to protect him. 8 Then I will ever sing in praise of your name and fulfil my vows day after day.
There has and will be times that we need God to protect us from the devil because we are only human and from time to time things are sent to tempt us, sinful things. It’s at times like these we need the Lord the most and we should come to him in prayer and sing his praises once again
Why don’t you lead me to that Rock that is higher than I Oh lead me, yes Lord lead me Why don’t you lead me to that Rock that is higher than I Thou hast been a shelter for me Well if you go down in yonder fold and search among the sheep My brother thou hast been a shelter for me Well you’ll find Him there so I am told with those He loves to keep My brother thou hast been a shelter for me If you’ll go in to the wilderness where dying ones are lost My brother thou hast been a shelter for me Well you’ll find Him there to heal and bless no matter what the cost My brother thou hast been a shelter for me
