It is seeing the familiar in fresh, or different, ways.

And challenging the way that we interpret life events, and reassessing meaning, and conclusions we have drawn, can often be achieved through basic questioning …

Questioning which shakes up our old, ingrained beliefs.

For example, Angeles Arrien (who wrote the Four Fold Way) suggests we stop and ask ourselves the following each day:

1 “What surprised me today?”

2. “What moved or touched me today?” and

3. “What inspired me today?”

This questioning process might feel difficult at first. It might feel a bit false, a bit unnatural to us.

Can’t You Understand

Know Your Worth; Own Your Life

I can’t read minds.

I never think your demons are your own to deal with.

I asked about work and your mental health… you choose not to tell me…

I’m not cruel and care everything about how you week went.

I’m complicated but I try my hardest to “keep up” with everything Calandra, Zivah, and you need before myself.

I’m not always pleasant but I’m learning..

I might seem selfish.. and sometimes I am selfish.. but it’s only because I know what it’s like to be taken advantage of… and not even on a priority list.

You’re going to be sick of me sometimes..

You’re going to hate my attitude…

You’re going to be pissed off as if I don’t consider you at all..

But, I do.. and I’m trying my hardest to do things right for me so I can be the best version of myself for everyone else!
