Following — GraceSpeak

We choose whom or what we follow. Some follow music and video personalities. Their mannerisms, their dress, their hairstyle, their priorities all give evidence of their leadership. Some follow political parties. Blatant on vehicles and t-shirts and social media posts, the chosen party or political ideal is voiced in ballots and checkbooks. A good question […]

Covid-9 lockdown 8

People starting to get fed up with lockdown now. Living in Scotland the Scottish government has yet to ease the the lockdown even although the UK parliament has started easing restrictions.

It has been interesting to see on Facebook and other social media sites what people have been doing during lockdown, we’ve also seen it on tv.

Another Thursday has passed and still people were on their doorsteps clapping. There were still People out with all sorts of musical instruments.

It appears that those of us who attend church may not be able to do so until at least July.

I Walk By Faith ~

How beautiful

Deborah Ann Belka's avatarCHRISTian poetry ~ by deborah ann

I walk by faith,
not by sight
because Jesus
is my light.

His Word my path,
illuminates
so His step
I can duplicate.

His Spirit dwells,
inside of me
so I can trust
what I can’t see.

His guidance,
helps me to find
peace for both
heart and mind.

I walk by faith,
in His light
for I trust Jesus . . .
for my sight!

2 Corinthians 5:7

For we walk by faith,
not by sight

Perfection

Philippians 3:12

Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.

Most of you won’t know that I’m a bit of a perfectionist, but in no way am I claiming to be perfect in any way (I am human after all).

Here is an example of how bad I can be:

Yesterday whilst trying to change a few things about my blog site it was accidentally taken down.  Having a bit of technical knowledge I attempted to get the site back up again myself. Eventually I contacted technical support for help and thanks to them the site is back up and running

Let us not remember whether we class ourselves as Perfectionist’s or not there is only one true perfectionist and that is Christ Jesus himself.

Security — GraceSpeak

We may be bruised and battered by this life. We may feel that we are barely hanging on. But if we have trusted in the Christ, we shall safely reach home. II Timothy 1:12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, […]

Finding Hope

Romans 5:1-11 New International Version

Peace and Hope

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we[a] have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we[b]boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we[c] also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.Image result for Christian Finding Hope

Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! 10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11 Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

We learn in the passage above that we have been justified through faith and we’ll have peace with God through Jesus. We are also told that hope does not put us to shame because God’s love has been poured out through the holy spirit. we are further reminded of God’s love for us in verse eight Christ died for us’

Gardens delight us with their colors and their teeming life. A feast for the eyes, there is always something new to observe. Somehow, working in the soil helps us to reconnect with ourselves and with our God. Perhaps it is because it allows us to play a small part in the creation and nurture of […]
