How little I know of you,
You span the hills and mountains,
The earth and the seas,
You paint the sky blue and red,
You bring green in the summer,
Your blanket of snow in the winter.
Your wind blows away the dark nights,
You keep the birds safe in their nests.
My small mind sees beauty of the skin,
You see beauty of the heavens,
I see only small words,
You see eternal laws unfolding,
I see flesh and bone,
You see heart and soul,
Love, be my song,
That I might see you in the melody,
That I might see you in the mirror,
Love, my Life, my being,
May I never lower you to this prison,
May I daily have a wider view of you.
