The Reassurance from Fear

Philippians 4 V 6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

I don’t mind telling you this but yesterday my wife and I went and bought a new double bed because the present one is done. After paying our deposit I started to worry where the rest of the payment was coming from.

After a little bit of prayer and thought that problem was answered. Just remember the next time your feeling anxious or worried about something bring it to God in prayer.

20 Years Later…..

Leigh's avatarAll You Need is Jesus

8:46, September 11, 2001.

Life changed forever. (though we didn’t know it at first)

It was a peaceful, sunny Tuesday morning until….well, until it wasn’t.

After the North Tower was hit, an accident was believed by many.

Then….

Then at 9:03, another plane….this time hitting the South Tower.

This…

This was no accident.

On this day 20 years ago

Our nation was attacked

Our freedom was threatened

No time to react

Cries of “help me” heard all around the world…silent tears flow all the way down

They thought they’d attack us

They thought they’d get away

Well guess what you terrorists

Our freedom is still here to stay

It’s been 20 years since that horrific day….but sometimes it feels just like yesterday.

Why God would allow this to happen, it’s something we’ll never understand

But God has a plan and He holds the world in His hands.

The Lovely name of Jesus

Last night whilst searching you tube I came across a video of the song “O Lovely Name”.

Unfortunately I cannot find a bible passage or the history behind the song.

What I am able to tell you about the song is it’s an old song as I remember it being played in our house by ‘The London Singers of The Salvation Army’ when I was little.

As I began to look at the words and pictures in the video I thought what a truly wonderful story
