Helping each other

Galatians 6 New International Version – UK

Doing good to all

Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfil the law of Christ. If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves. Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, for each one should carry their own load. Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

I think at times such as the COVID-19 we all need uplifting words such as the words of this song

  1. Amen We should give no one a reason to misjudge our intentions when we speak about God. We are not trying to impress anyone. We are not trying to infer that we who believe are better than those who don’t. We are to merely be people who have faith and want to share it with others because we want them to have the same confidence in the love of God and the Good News that we have been redeemed and that the gift of eternal life in the Kingdom of Heaven is there for the taking! The only one who can judge our intentions is God himself. As Paul says, we are also not justified by being God’s servants. We are justified by faith and our faith leads us to do the good works that Jesus commissioned us to do. Paul is doing his job as an apostle, I am trying to do mine by helping others become more involved in reading the Bible, and you do yours in whatever circumstances God has placed you. I’m sure that there who disagreed with Paul, and I’m equally sure that there are those who will disagree with me at times. And there might be those who disagree with you. The important thing to remember is that we don’t answer to others as much as we answer to God. If we are honest with our experiences of God when we share our faith, that’s all we can do. If my experience is different from yours, it’s still my experience, as is yours and they are both valid. When you share your experiences with me it teaches me just as I hope mine help you. And I do read your thoughts and pray for all of you. May we continue to share with each other without judgment!⚜️🙏⚜️
