John 14:23

Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.”

Yet again I was listening to a song of the same title on you tube last night which prompted me to write this blog.

It’s a song that invites us to listen and to respond to Jesus’s calling as he not only knocks at the door of our hearts and in doing so we may feel his presence, Help us to realise what you want us to be.See the source imageHere is the words for you to follow:

Lord I hear you knocking Hear your voice appealing Open the door of your heart Let me enter in and Take a centre of your life Controlling every part Come follow me on the way of the cross This is the moment you must start

Melancholic Depression

Kenneth's avatarBrain disorders & other General topics of the day

Melancholic depression is a form of major depressive disorder (MDD) which presents with melancholic features. Although melancholic depression used to be seen as a distinct disorder, the American Psychiatric Association (APA) no longer recognizes it as a separate mental illness. Instead, melancholia is now seen as a specifier for MDD — that is, a subtype of major depressive disorder.

MDD is a significant mental health condition characterized by persistent and intense feelings of sadness and hopelessness. The disorder can affect many areas of life, including work, school, and relationships. It may also impact mood and behavior as well as various physical functions, such as appetite and sleep. People with MDD often lose interest in activities they once enjoyed and have trouble getting through the day. Occasionally, they may also feel as if life isn’t worth living.

The severity and type of MDD symptoms vary greatly from person to person. Some…

Light my path — The Distinct Dot

Earlier today on Bellshill Salvation Army Band’s Facebook page I shared some devotions. I’d like to share those devotions with you tonight. While driving along a road at night which has either no, or little lighting, you may find your headlights illuminate road signs that warn you of danger ahead. For example, maybe the road is about […]

Exodus 3 New International Version

Moses and the Burning Bush

3Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethrohis father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountainof God.2There the angel of theLordappeared to him in flames of firefrom within a bush.Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up.3So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up.”

4When theLordsaw that he had gone over to look, God calledto him from within the bush,“Moses! Moses!”

And Moses said, “Here I am.”

“Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” Then he said, “I am the God of your father,[a] the God of…

Serving one God

Exodus 23 New Living Translation

A Promise of the Lord’s Presence

20 “See, I am sending an angel before you to protect you on your journey and lead you safely to the place I have prepared for you. 21 Pay close attention to him, and obey his instructions. Do not rebel against him, for he is my representative, and he will not forgive your rebellion. 22 But if you are careful to obey him, following all my instructions, then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and I will oppose those who oppose you. 23 For my angel will go before you and bring you into the land of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites, and Jebusites, so you may live there. And I will destroy them completely. 24 You must not worship the gods of these nations or serve them in any way or imitate their evil practices. Instead, you must utterly destroy them and smash their sacred pillars.

25 “You must serve only the Lord your God. If you do, I[d] will bless you with food and water, and I will protect you from illness. 26 There will be no miscarriages or infertility in your land, and I will give you long, full lives.

27 “I will send my terror ahead of you and create panic among all the people whose lands you invade. I will make all your enemies turn and run. 28 I will send terror[e] ahead of you to drive out the Hivites, Canaanites, and Hittites. 29 But I will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals would multiply and threaten you. 30 I will drive them out a little at a time until your population has increased enough to take possession of the land. 31 And I will fix your boundaries from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea,[f] and from the eastern wilderness to the Euphrates River.[g] I will hand over to you the people now living in the land, and you will drive them out ahead of you.

32 “Make no treaties with them or their gods. 33 They must not live in your land, or they will cause you to sin against me. If you serve their gods, you will be caught in the trap of idolatry.”

Born Again!

I’m born again! Born from above

Within, the Spirit breathed

A new creation, birthed by love

Within, the imperishable seed!

The Living Word, Creator speaks

From nothing, life is born

For Heaven’s Seed, the cross did meet

And life eternal formed

The Word of Life, there in the tomb

The new creation’s King

The Seed that fell, by many wounds

A mighty harvest brings

By freedom here, the Spirit moves

Refresh, restore, create

The Word of God forever proves

Enduring love so great!

So here I am, within the Vine

My life within the Seed

And through my life the fruits divine

Give grain, His Word to feed

Hello everyone hope your all doing great on your side of the world.

I woke up this morning to the sun shining through my window. Usually I would rather have rain, but I was actually quite happy for the sunshine.

For the last couple of years I have been searching for a new family physician. Some of you may remember that my last one, the one I had for almost 15 years, opened up a practice in another county, which left me “doctor hopping” for two years. I was still at the same medical office, but I was left seeing different doctors everytime, and for me that was not good.

I had a doctor in mind that I really connected with. I have know him for several years. The last few times I ran into him I would stop him and ask if he would please be my doctor. He…
