What is hope — ChristianBlessings

“Thy throne is established of old: Thou art from everlasting.” Psalm 93:2 Lord, I do not really understand that word everlasting. I accept by faith that You have always been, and You always will be, but Your eternalness is beyond my comprehension. I am stuck in the now. I know the date of my birth, […]
Five Smooth Stones — GraceSpeak
25 ‘Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[a]?
28 ‘And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labour or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendour was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you – you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, “What shall we eat?” or “What shall we drink?” or “What shall we wear?” 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Peter failed. When faced with the opportunity to stand with his Lord, he bailed, denying the One Who had called Him, the One to Whom he had declared his undying allegiance (John 18:25 – 27). After the crucifixion, though, Peter could still be found with the disciples. He showed up at the tomb. He was […]
Failure — GraceSpeak

We learn to believe by believing. We learn to love by loving. The practice of acting on a certain thing, even (or especially) when feeling is absent, embodies the entire “how” of growth. Quote of the Week, 7/8/20 — Real Christian Women

Sometimes I hear people quote me, but the words they say don’t match what I said. Due to misunderstanding or to foster false impressions, words are taken out of context and incorrect directives are repeated. When this happens, I jokingly say that my name has been taken in vain. Names are important. They represent who […]
Not in Vain — GraceSpeak

Adrift Out of touch But not out of sight My needs are met Even in the fight. Worn Thrown by waves But not out of hope When the sea’s rough You settle my boat. So I won’t forget Your faithfulness You deserve my praise And nothing less I won’t cease to thank you For all […]
Safe Harbor — Pippi’s Poetry

Are you aware of your friends and frenemies relationships? Do you know when mutual friends of frenemies are betraying you? I enjoy watching British shows and just started watching a new series titled ‘Sticks and Stones.’ It is about a company downsizing and will get rid of one of four employees in Sales. Three coworkers […]
Knowing Your Frenemies? — MRS. T’S CORNER

The hymn, This is My Father’s World, has been on my heart for several days. I remember singing this song in elementary school, and it has remained a favorite through the years. Each morning as I walk, I hear the songs of the redbirds, and I see the intricate beauty of the flowers and grasses […]
