Joy Comes On Morning’s Light ~

Beautiful

Deborah Ann Belka's avatarCHRISTian poetry ~ by deborah ann

Joy comes,
to heart’s broken
joy returns
in words unspoken.

Joy arises,
from out of the pits
joy emerges
with strength and grit.

Joy enters,
with peace and calm
joy becomes
the soul’s healing balm.

Joy reaches,
into mind’s affected
Joy arrives
when least expected

Joy follows,
weeping nights
joy arises
on morning’s light!

~~~~~~
Psalm 30:5
For his anger endureth but a moment;
in his favour is life: weeping may
endure for a night, but joy cometh
in the morning.
Lord I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made
You know my thoughts, my going out and my lying down,
You’re familiar with all my ways
Even before I speak You know my words, You know my name. (Based on part of Psalm 139).
I like what the composer of the lyrics has done in this song. It’s as if he or she has put Psalm 139 into song and personally I like that.
In my bible there’s a footnote for verse “17 Or How amazing are your thoughts concerning me”‘ and it’s true his thoughts for us are amazing
I have read and heard this Psalm read out several times but I think I have to be honest in saying I learned more from it in doing this blog than ever before
Covid-19 Lockdown 7
Well here we are yet again, another week in lockdown. Some people like me are taking it in their stride, where others are itching to get back out there. We are all fed up being in ‘Lockdown’, but there is one advantage we have had this week in the UK and that is good weather and most of us have been outside in our gardens.
I have to say a big well done to a few of our older generation who have followed on in the steps of Capt/Major Tom and raising money for our NHS.
Talking of the NHS as usual we were all out on our doorsteps on Thursday night at eight o’clock clapping hands and banging pots etc.
This week marked the end of World war two in Europe 75 years ago and to mark it people of the UK did what they did 75 years ago, they had street parties throughout the country. The only difference this time was ‘Social distancing’ with everyone enjoying themselves.
Luke 12:6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? 7 But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. When life’s sorrows roll over my soul, and my heart trembles. When confusion reigns in all […]
Great post as usual
Quarantine Day 53, NYC Well, we’ve officially surpassed the 50 day mark for quarantine. I feel like there should be some sort of consolation prize for that grim milestone. Like a four-pack of Charmin Ultra Soft and a handle of top shelf liquor or something. At the very least a travel size mini Purell hand…
