Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else.
It’s true what this video says We do have gift to share to everyone. The beauty of it is that everyone’s gift is different from the person next to you.
In the reading above we are reminded that Paul tells the people of Corinth because you have proved yourselves others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ,
Whilst sharing things puts us in Gods favour, we mustn’t forget the most important thing to share is the Gospel.

6 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptised into Christ Jesus were baptised into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with,[a] that we should no longer be slaves to sin— 7 because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.
8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him.9 For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. 10 The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. 14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
Whilst reading this piece of scripture i am reminded of a chorus well known in The Salvation Army
It’s no longer I that liveth,
But Christ that liveth in me,
It’s no longer I that liveth,
But Christ that liveth in me.
He lives! He lives!
Jesus is alive in me.
It’s no longer I that liveth,
But Christ that liveth in me.

SARI’S AND BEGGARS
When I travelled to India, many years ago, I found myself in a squalid, forsaken world. Traffic sped by perilously. They were too fast to be safe, but too slow to get anywhere.
It was gut wrenching to see neglected, grubby children laying on the ground at my feet. They were everywhere. Mounds of bedding, people rolled up inside, sleeping through it all, the sounds, the smells. The place seemed to swallow people up. I was stifled by the heat and choking on the smog. And there I was in the middle of a nation of multi coloured sari’s and dirty, crippled beggars.
I LEFT MY HEART IN INDIA
Dalits (Untouchables) are trapped into fixed social orders, from which it’s impossible to escape.
Many upper-caste Indians simply walk past the starving and sick Dalits.
As alien as this land is, travellers cannot help, but fall in…

I recently read a blog post about self-doubt. In it the author said he suffers from doubting himself and was wondering where he might find help.
We as Christians need look no further than our Bibles.
The Bible has many quotes that will help us in a time of self-doubt. We need only repeat them and have faith that God means what HE says. We can turn to stories of faith. Those are good as well. But sometimes we need a mantra to keep our minds quiet.
So to the guy that needed somewhere to turn, in order to calm his mind…here you go. (And for us too!)
So we say with confidence,
“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?”
Jeremiah 17:7
But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him.
